Every idea I’ve brought into the world began with a question I first asked as a mother:
How do I create a world where my children can thrive, not just survive?

Raising two Black sons has shaped every platform I’ve built—from Liberation Station Bookstore to The 40 Acre Institute to The Museum Lives in Me®. Their curiosity, safety, and freedom have been my blueprint. Through their eyes, I’ve reimagined what education can feel like, what museums can reflect, and how stories can become a lifeline for identity, joy, and possibility.

I don’t compartmentalize who I am. I bring my full self—mother, creator, visionary—to the work. Because when mothers lead, we lead with legacy in mind.
